Sailboats at Seaport Village San Diego

It is pretty as a picture, isn't it. Those are some of the glorious sailboats that float by while you munch a lunch at some of our favorite restaurants in Seaport Village San Diego. Those brilliant crimson, azure and golden sails seem to burst off the boat and fly away all by themselves.

The Harbor Restaurant in Seaport Village is one of our romantic favorites. Not only is the view spectacular, but the food is really good too.

The restaurant sits on the edge of San Diego Bay, adjacent to the Marina Park where picnics and kite flying are so popular. It is a two story restaurant, and from the top floor the view is splendid. There is a great balcony on that floor, just perfect for sun kissed days. And the floor to ceiling windows ensure bright sunlight or starlight.

I tried the oysters on the recommendation of my chauffeur. He said they were the best he had ever had. And, by jimminy, he was right. They were.

Now you can get a great view of the bay without ever going into one of the restaurants on San Diego harbor, but why? They are very reasonably priced. The lunches and dinners are great. And holding hands, watching the boats sail by, is .... well, extra nice.
